Deborah Long

Deborah provides project management support for the Shellfish Aquaculture Research Platform. Her main responsibilities include working with the Science Leadership Team to ensure all contractual obligations to our funders (NZ Government Ministry for Business Innovation and Employment; MBIE) are met, and supporting researchers working on the platform with budgeting and project management. 
Deborah is a key point of contact for sub-contractors to the platform; co-ordinating the contracts and invoicing.

Before joining Cawthron, Deborah worked as a Production Manager in a documentary department at the BBC from 2000 – 2012.  She joined Cawthron in 2017 after a 5-year career break to look after her two young children.
