Jolene Berry

After completing a BSc in Marine Biology, I joined Cawthron’s Aquaculture group as a technician in 2011, but took some time out to work in research laboratories overseas during that period. Over the years as an Aquaculture Technician I’ve been involved in many interesting shellfish research projects including cryopreservation, physiology, pathology and ecotoxicology. I work mostly in the laboratories, including processing and extracting shellfish samples for analyses, and maintaining an array of specialist scientific instruments.
